About Edgar and Chino's Remodel & Build
Chino's Remodel & Build is Edgar's business, and Edgar is the person who shows up, measures the space and does the work on repairs and remodels across the Vail Valley. There is no sales office between you and the job: the person you call is the person holding the tools.
Edgar owns the business and does the work
Edgar runs Chino’s Remodel & Build on his own and answers for every job himself. He handles the framing, tile, trim and finish carpentry with his own hands, and he is the one on site from the first walk-through to the last swept floor. When you have a question, you call him. When something needs a decision, he calls you.
That setup is deliberate. A one-owner business lives on its name, and Edgar’s name goes on every job he takes. It is also why he is choosy about the details that decide whether work lasts at altitude: what goes behind the tile, how a trim joint is cut, how a deck board meets the house.
A local in Eagle County
Edgar lives and works in Eagle County with his family. The photo on this page shows him with his young son. Living here means he knows the drive from Vail to Eagle in January, the way condo buildings handle contractors, and how freeze-thaw cycles open up caulk lines and exterior joints by spring.
How Edgar runs a job
Every project follows the same pattern, whether it is a half-day fix or a full kitchen.
- A walk-through and a written estimate. Edgar looks at the space, asks how you use it, and puts the scope and price on paper before anything starts.
- Photos as the work moves. Many owners here live elsewhere part of the year, so Edgar sends pictures from the job and keeps you current.
- A call before anything changes. If opening a wall turns up rot, bad wiring or an old leak, he stops, photographs it, explains the options and waits for your OK.
- A clean, protected house. Floors and walkways get covered, the work area is sealed off, and the house is left tidy when the work wraps up.
What Edgar takes on
The work runs from small to large. On the small end: handyman services and home repair, such as doors, drywall, fixtures, windows and tile fixes. In the middle: custom carpentry like the oak bookcase that swings open into a bedroom, shown on the project photos page. On the larger end: kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basements, decks and general contracting for additions and structural work. For plumbing and electrical, Edgar brings in tradespeople who hold a state license and schedules them into the job.
Where Edgar works
Edgar covers Vail, Minturn, Eagle-Vail, Avon and Beaver Creek, Edwards and Eagle, plus Gypsum when the schedule allows. Each town we serve has its own page with notes on the homes and permit office there.

What working with Edgar looks like
Chino's Remodel & Build is Edgar. He measures, cuts and finishes the work himself, from a loose door and a cracked shower bench to a full kitchen. There is no salesperson and no coordinator who was never on site.
- A detailed estimate before work starts. And a phone call before anything changes it. No silent change orders.
- Photo updates through the job. Useful when the house is a second home and you are in another state.
- Permits, inspections and HOA paperwork handled. Edgar pulls the permits and meets the inspectors on site.
- A clean, protected site. Floors and walkways covered, work areas sealed, and a bathroom and kitchen kept in use whenever possible.
